TTJ is absolutely thrilled to announce that we are adding a new member to our team – Stephanie Jones! She has begun working with us effective last week, and will be assisting in all aspects of TTJ training and support. In particular, Stephanie will be helping to facilitate Saturday help sessions, and providing support in all other training and help sessions.
Stephanie Jones is the Communication Skills Instructor for Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. In her current role, she teaches both braille and Apple accessibility. Stephanie lost her sight almost fourteen years ago due to a medical condition. After going through rehabilitation services and learning to put the pieces of her life back together, she decided to use her professional skills to assist individuals with vision impairments. She is an advocate for individuals with different abilities and takes every opportunity to educate the community on being inclusive, diverse and accessible to all. Stephanie is a native Memphiam and while she enjoys her work with the blind and visually impaired community, her favorite job is being mom to five awesome children. Stephanie loves to cook for friends and family, sing, and working with Menus4ALL – a company producing accessible restaurant menus for those with blindness and visual impairments. Stephanie’s proudest moments are celebrating her children’s successes and bing name a WMCTV MidSouth Hero in 2019 based on the nomination of her students.
Stephanie is an absolutely perfect fit for our team. She is a fantastic trainer, an expert in Google Classroom, Braille use, and just about every other area of iOS and Mac OS, and their counterparts, both with and without Voiceover. Plus, she has an awesome personality, unrelenting energy and passion, mixed with a heavy dose of classic southern charm. We are so excited to be able to bring Steph and all her incredible talents and skills to the team. Welcome to the TTJ Family, Trainer Steph.:)
